Money has never been the root of all evil.

 

It’s gotten to the point where, hearing the phrase as used above, makes me twitch and froth at the mouth. Evil has never sprouted from any designated currency.

 

HOWEVER, the love of money has caused all kinds of problems throughout the ages.

 

See the difference?

 

Hence, if you’re talking about the evil people do for money, remember that they’re doing it because they love money, not because money exists.

 

For the love of money is the root of all evil—1 Timothy 6:10
